Degustation notes
When a friend told me about this wine and he compared it to the 1989 Château Haut-Brion, I was very skeptical at first. He invited me to a small degu where we compared the 2015 MilleEottantatre (1083) to 1989 Château Haut-Brion and 2015 Sassicaia. Wow – what a gigantic wine, the comparison with the 1989 Haut Brion was truly amazing. Of course, it is much younger.
The conclusion: the 1989 Haut Brion was the best of this little tasting, but the MilleEottantatre was not that far off. It was on a par with the Sassicaia. Sometimes I preferred the MilleEottantatre, sometimes the Sassicaia. The comparison of the two Italians let me come to the conclusion: I must have both! I still shake with joy when I think of these sensational wines. Unfortunately, there is only a tiny amount of them that we can offer you. To drink until 2035.
